Welcome to Salla Fin5 Competition center! The first time you arrive at the competition center, there is one thing you need to do and several things you can do. For your convenience, we have listed them below.
First: please pick up your race number. You can find the race numbers sorted by class in the finish tent in front of the Information Desk. There is one number per participant for all races during the week. If you loose your number, you can buy a new one for a small fee at the Information Desk.
If you haven’t registered yet, you can still register for the open courses at the Information Desk.
The information desk is open daily. The opening hours can be found in the Event Guide (on page 5).
Second: there is no car park at the competition center (exceptions are made for people with disabilities). Cars can be parked at the school in Salla and at the sports center in Sallatunturi. There is bus transport on all the race days from the parking to the competition center and back. Tickets for parking and the bus can be bought at the Competition Information Desk. And yes, it’s okay to take the bus to the competition center and then buy the ticket. 🙂
Be careful when you hop on the bus at the competition center. There are 3 busses going to Sallatunturi and one bus to Salla. Make sure you jump in the correct one!
And our bus drivers kindly ask you not to wear spiked shoes in the bus.

On Wednesday there is a shopping bus service for €14pp (back & forth). The bus will leave from Wilderness Park, then go to Sallatunturin Tuvat, Holiday Club, Sallainen and the shops in Salla city center. The bus leaves from Wilderness park at 10 and 14, the bus will be back when all have finished shopping.
Don’t want to take the bus? No problem! The competition center is about 4km from Sallatunturi and there is a shared pedestrian/cycle lane next to the main road. Bicycles can be rented from Wilderness Park, Sallatunturin Tuvat and Salla Ski & Active. Please leave your bike at the bicycle parking on the north side of the competition center.
Other things to do: please pay a visit to the marketplace. You can find food, souvenirs and all kinds of sports equipment. In the main building of Salla Wilderness park, there is a free nature exhibition about the Salla National Park.
