Showers can be found at the Salla Sports Centre (Sallan Liikuntakeskus), next to the parking lot in Sallatunturi. On the ground floor, north side of the building, there is a big green door that leads to the changing rooms and showers which are available for FIN5 participants. If you want to use the other facilities of the gym, please buy a ticket at the café at the first floor (open tu-th 15.00-20.30).

The closest swimming spot to the competition centre is located on the shore of Lake Tammakkolampi. The spot can be found at the north end of poropuistontie (near the Tähtitaivaskoda).
And both in Sallatunturi and in Salla there is a swimming beach. In Sallatunturi, the beach is at the west shore of lake Keselmäjärvi (Keselmäjärven uimaranta). The beach has changing cabins, a barbecue hut, and a playground for the little ones.
The official Salla beach is located on the edge of the municipal centre on the shore of Lake Ruuhijärvi. In addition, there are several swimming spots in Salla, which are usually equipped with a lifebuoy, changing cabins, and a wooden toilet. More information about Salla’s swimming spots (in Finnish).
